• Move to Learn, Play to Grow - Discover the Six Building Blocks for motor development that underlie school readiness.


• Sensory Integration: What it is and what you can do when it shows up! - Sensory integration can lead to subtle and not so subtle disturbances in a child's development. You will learn how it works and what to do when something goes wrong. Equip yourself with activities and excercises that help children handle, overcome or cope with their sensory sensitivities.

• Bonding and Attachment: The Glue That Holds Us Together - Curious about the history of attachment theory and what it implies for today's parents?  Understanding how a child connects and can be re-directed puts discipline practices and classroom management in a different light.  Learn how you can support parents and ECE establish secure attachments with their children and enjoy cooperative, calm classrooms.


• Infant Massage - Participants learn just how profound touch is to the physical, emotional and mental well-being of a baby. This unique workshop will give the participants hands on experience learning massage routines that sooth, aid self-regulation and impact the global development of the baby. The essentials for forming healthy attachments and how touch plays a vital role in our capacity to give and receive love are included in the workshop. Appropriate for teachers working with infants and babies.

• Cultivating Creativity With Creative Dance-  This workshop defines thirteen thinking skills used by creative minds and applies them to dance activities that will cultivate these activities.  An engaging action packed workshop full of movement ideas for your preschool classroom that will elevate joy, freedom and build self-esteem as children explore what they can learn by moving their bodies.


• Dance with Me to Develop My Mind Emotions and Motor Control-  How can we harness creative dance to affect the global development of children?  From expressivity to rhythm and time,   to social and emotional growth, the developmentally appropriate dance experience can prepare a child for Kindergarten and cultivate creativity.  From infancy to age five movement is the gateway to learning.  Come prepared to move!
  
  Learning outcomes
  Participants will enjoy rhyming exercises, obstacle courses, dance explorations and folk dances for early childhood and learn about their impact on the brain development of young children. This session will be packed with research based data and practical applications for the classroom.


• How Motor Development Impacts Learning In Infants-  Infant motor development is essential for gaining skills and knowledge in each of the learning domains.  This interactive, part dancing, part lecture demonstration workshop will explore the caregiver's role in supporting motor development and the impact it has on cognition.  The six building blocks to motor development will be discussed and how motor actions facilitate cognitive functioning, social interaction, emotional regulation, and self-help skills.


• How We Move Is How We Think-  Discover the amazing truth about ourselves, our co-workers, children, and parents in this eye-opening workshop on the Four Coordination Patterns organized by Elizabeth Wetzig.  This ground breaking, make you laugh at yourself workshop, will improve your teaching practices when you understand that how we move informs how we think and relate to others, organize our space, and choose occupations that suit us.  This ground breaking work will explain why children all have preferred learning styles and how to set up a classroom that will meet everyone's needs.
