Monday Missive Spring Session #1

by Christine Roberts | Apr 08, 2019

To begin our Spring Fling we are going to explore our Self Space and General Space, meaning movements we do in place and movement that loco-motes through space.  For example wiggling, turning, jumping, shaking and twisting in self space alternating with galloping, sliding, rolling and running through general space.

This concept is critical for your baby or child's understanding of spatial awareness and what the possibilities are using their body parts.  This concept also demands self-control to stay in one spot and refrain from running around the space.  Its a great beginning to one of life's most critical skills - inhibitory control, so essential for a life well lived.
